AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS: IRRIGATORS
Wright Rain were one of the first irrigation
equipment manufacturers to see the potential and become involved
in the development of hosereel irrigators in the mid 1970s.
From those early days, continuous development has resulted in larger
and more sophisticated machines with PE hose diameters up to 140
mm and lengths up to 700 metres (125 mm dia).
The Wright Rain Rainmaker range consists of three
structure styles J, G & IG, each having a dedicated range of
models and hose sizes.

Wright Rain rainmaker
structure G models have an efficient turbine drive
system for reduced pumping costs and 4 speed gearbox (single
speed on G1.1) to provide a wide range of pull-in speeds. Automatic
drive disengagement and slow closing valve for water shut down
at the end of run are fitted as standard.
The irrigator is easy to set up with the staker legs and trolley
lift hydraulically operated via a hand pump.
A range of options and extras are available to customise the
machine to suit specific operating requirements. |

Wright Rain rainmaker
structure IG models provide computer controlled
accurate water application, utilising an efficient turbine drive
system and 4 speed gearbox (2 + 2 on IG4) with automatic drive
disengagement and slow closing valve for water shut down at
the end of run.
Set up is easy, using the tractor hydraulics for wheel raise/lower,
turntable rotation, jack, staker legs and trolley lift.
By lowering the machine to the ground for operating, the lower
centre of gravity provides maximum stability and ground anchorage
for difficult or arduous soil/crop conditions.
On the IG2 & larger, a compressor is supplied for exhausting
a proportion of the water in the hose, thus reducing the weight
between moves. |
